JWs brag about children as young as 6 being baptized. They are for the most part precocious snots.
A reasonable age would be past puberty and close to if not at an age where important decisions ( marriage comes to mind) can be made
"adult baptism was not simply a question of religious dogma; it was an issue of power.
if baptism was delayed until adulthood—thus allowing a person to make a decision based on faith—some might not get baptized at all.
and individuals not baptized would, at least to a degree, remain outside the control of the church.

I've been holding my breath for 70+ years. Starting to turn blue.
from what i can see no such thing is happening.i became a jw in 1960 and remained for about 30 years and the numbers of active jw`s today in the world are far greater than they were back then.. and here in australia the numbers are much higher than they were back then .. so i don`t see that their in decline or have any worries about losing support .. don`t the numbers speak for themselves ?.
is it just wishful thinking on your part ?.
The bookstudy groups were the last vestiges of fun and " love". The service groups are just work parties with varying levels of incompetent leadership. Add old age, disjointed ever changing doctrine, pressure to be poor and uneducated.
I like the " just around the corner?" Circular track.
Also the photo of the adoration of the blue square next to the golden calf illustration
what do you think the main reason is?
$$$$?.

I made a standing donation through the WT, earmarked for the local congregation, mostly because wife us pimi (mostly). When they gave away excess funds per WT instructions I deleted the deduction because I could find no way to decrease it. Then I put in a new lower amount, but noticed on the bank statement they still take the larger amount. GRRR
this made me chuckle.
a new song that they are encouraged to practice for the convention.. “ we know your day will come, sure as the rising sun.
no matter how long it takes , it will not be late” …………... it is based on habakkuk 2 , we discussed this in depth around 1973/1974.
Worst music genre there is..
not sure if this has already been posted:.

I know personally some about this case. Good old boy with a highly influential family running things. The allegations hold waterin my opinion.

The treadmill gets tiresome. Meetings are ( capitol b) boring.
so talking with friends and they mentioned they just visited their daughter at bethel.
so i asked did she say why anthony morris is no longer on the gb?.
he had no clue about that.
The WT web interface is not easy to navigate. Therefore things are missed, even for those who look. The breaking news is inevitably days or weeks old. JW talk is probably the real source of news. Alas, I flubbed which book to answer questions from and got blocked. Mostly the news I seek is from a concern for people, not the borg.
i just found out from my jehovah's witness cousin that my old congregation is being shuttered due to lack of elders, less than 20 members attending, and that the congregation cannot meet their monthly expenses.. here is a congregation that was started in 1975 with less than 15 members.
it grew to 185 members in the 1990's.
the congregation grew so large that the elders decided to split the congregation in two.
The first picture shows why there is no blessing: no blue square. Driving distance really hurts
When zoom is curtailed it will mean missing meeting, which I look forward to.
